Nothing screams 'global foundation' like talking about your private jet to Davos. What a bunch of crap.

KindeApp

So books are $12.99-$14.99 on the iTampex, but still $9.99 through Amazon.  The Kindle App will be the killer app on this crazy tablet thing.  Sorry to all those publishers who thought this would save them... pretty sure any additional 'functionality' that can come from a book (other than..umm... reading a book) will not justify a 30-50% price premium:

iDislike

I like my toaster.  I like my blender.  Why would I buy a toaster-blender if I already have both of them?  The market for the iKotex is honestly people who like iphones and macs.... and most of those people already have both items.  From a market segmentation perspective, I don't know what the appeal of this device is beyond someone who is obsessed with Macs?

From a utility perspective, what is the value proposition?  A screen I can touch.  Great.  Can I type on it?  Oh, barely because it has a 10" screen?  Well... then I guess I can use a keyboard.  So I buy a keyboard to make it function like a computer... but it doesn't have real computing power, nor can I run any programs on it (nor can I run more than one program at a time).  Why am I getting this thing again?  Oh yeah... so I can read books.  So I'm going to hold up a 1.5lb device to read books?  Doesn't sound comfortable.
Well, its great for pictures and video.  Oh, but I already have a TV and a laptop....why do I need another device?
BUT ITS GOT APPS!!!  Hmm.... the internet seems to work fine for me.
But its a great gaming device!!!!  Wait... it doesn't have a controller.... and playing games that require anything but tilt-and-tap controls sucks. .... k.

I can understand specific applications, as some people have pointed out, like in medical settings perhaps.  On the whole thought.... wtf.

Welcome

A suggestion was made that I move my cynical rants off of Facebook, and onto a blog.  So.... here it is.

Hooray.
